A first birthday is a milestone worth celebrating, and “Hole in One” is one of our favorite themes for it. This golf-themed 1st birthday at Riverview Ballroom in Cliffside Park, NJ came together beautifully. Here’s what our team built, and how we can do the same for your celebration anywhere in Bergen County and North Jersey.
The Design
- Color palette: fairway green, mint, chrome silver and white, pulled straight from a golf course.
- Organic balloon garland: an asymmetrical cascade of mixed balloon sizes that climbs one side of the watercolor golf-course backdrop and sweeps across the top corner, with a smaller cluster anchoring the other side. A ready-made photo spot for guests.
- Balloon columns: two matching columns flanking the white bounce house, tying the play area into the same look.

Why It Worked at Riverview Ballroom
The ballroom’s white walls and bright ceiling let the deep greens and chrome silver stand out. We kept the decor to two focal points, the photo backdrop and the play area, so the room felt styled without crowding the dance floor or tables.
